Take my poll...

I have a poll going on the right side, under my profile. Take a moment to fill it out. You can choose multiple answers, but of course the less answers you choose, the more precise it will be.
(I think anyone can vote, not just Blogger members)

Update: the poll is closed

My favorite kind of Sunday

.... that's what today was. I got up late, and sipped the most delicious coffee out of my favorite mug while wearing my snuggly hello kitty slippers and reading my favorite blogs. I need to make a list of them so I can share one day. I use firefox to browse the internet, and this am I downloaded a plug-in that tracks my blogs for me, and pops up when there is a new entry to read, supposedly - I'm still working on getting it set up.
So after that I showered and went to work at Sandy's. She thinks I'm kinda nuts because I love doing her paper work, but it's true - I love to tame her chaos. We called it quits after a few hours because the Mexican food was calling our names. It's our collective weakness. We went to our favorite taco joint.... Burrito Brothers .... if you are ever in town, stop in. Just a tiny place, but the best people run it and the food is yummy. I usually love the fish taco, no cheese to upset my tummy, but tonight I had a craving for nachos. Dinner was great, but I had cheese and sour cream and I'm paying for it now. When will I learn?

The conversation is always great when were all out together- we always laugh the whole time. Tonight's table topic was hysterical and we came to the conclusion that men under-utilize their 'units'. Oh yes, it's true. Maybe that will be another blog topic, LOL.

As fate should have it....

.... we were just talking about these balls today, weren't we Sandy? While admitting that I read nearly 200 blogs on the weekend mornings, we chatted about the ball. (to my defense, I quickly see if there is a new post, read it and move on) OR if I get side-tracked by links in those blogs, I can be lost for hours like I did with this dude's blog.... An old post, led me to this.... it's so stink'n funny, I wish I could write like he does.

Rats....

the blog isn't nearly as fun as used to be because I can't bitch about anyone here anymore, since 'the locals' are reading it. My online 'dear diary' is no more, LOL.

Black & Blue Beetle Bracelet

Kelly.... you have changed my Saturdays forever.... I can't not make a bracelet on Saturdays now - or it just feels weird!

This is my new one.... I had it planned out last week, shopped for the beads for it this afternoon, and finished it tonight. Initially we thought it was a highly polished chalk turquoise beetle, but after closer inspection, it's a hand carved, glazed ceramic beetle. I love the crackle glaze in that yummy celadon blue, and the artist scribed thier insignia into the back - how great.

I'm dedicating this special one to Lori & Kelly who make THE BEST team. (tear, tear, sniff, sniff)

lost..... green inchies

I'm so bummed
my green inchies that I made for a swap are lost in the mail.
I have to file a claim for them now - I hate postal paper work.

Vintage Garden Bracelet

Here's another bracelet, using Kelly's Garden Bracelet technique. I used vintage buttons, pearls (real and swarovski), and more snazzy glass beads. It feels so good on because it's kind of 'weighty' and swishes around as I move. I love it.

I'm collecting beads for my next one.... all black, with an amazing scarab beetle made from turquoise. I want to use shiny and matte beads, transparent and opaque... as many different black beads as I can find. I'm totally addicted!
