Adventures in Sewing
Hello, my name is Tracy and I'm NOT a sewer. I'm trying to make a cute Amy Butler purse, but it's not going so well. "How hard can it be?"... I asked myself... "It's only a square". I made sure not to buy a pattern that used piping or trim, or anything to 'throw off my game'. Ha! This sweet little pattern is kick'n my butt :) Let's just say I need to buy more fabric, for round 2.
So in the mean time, to keep my sewing spirits high, I bought a beauty off eBay. Also an Amy Butler, and hand sewn.... and perfectly I might add! Check out the seller.... her stuff is amazing.
I snapped a neat shot in the car the other day, waiting for a downpour to pass so I could dash into the post office. I love cell phone cams... so fun when you are out and about.

Going going..... please be gone!

Well jeepers.... I don't have a bid on my 'remember romance' hanging yet, and the darn thing is a measly 4.99! I listed it as part of ZNE's 'Romance' theme week. If you need a little gifty for someone, bid your heart out :) View everyone's auctions here.

What a great Wednesday I had.... I got a smok'n raise, sold 3 more nest pendants and was chosen to be part of digital creative team! Not bad, not bad at all. More to come next week about the digital creative team. I don't want to blow the horn till her newsletter comes out. I'm totally jazzed to be doing this... it was one of my creative new year resolutions actually, so I'm tickled. UPDATE: I forgot to add that I got word that I'll be showing at the river gallery in March too - yes - it was a slamm'n good day!

So my website's shopping cart is giving me nothing but grief. I have potential shoppers emailing me constantly that they are having problems with it. I can't have that, so I'm switching carts, servers, everything. YIKES. It's going to be HUGE undertaking to rebuild, but a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do. Wish me luck!

My nest
I'm so excited - I bought an abandoned bird's nest off ebay, from a sweet gal in Australia way back in May. I've been waiting for it forever and figured that customs must have stopped it because it's natural they have so many rules about stuff like that - well today it finally arrived!

Here is the story....
- Built & abondoned by Australian Native Noisy Miners.
- Local materials include: outside: sticks & twigs (from conifers, plumbago, bougainvillea, tea tree), lining: Horse hair, Cow hair, Alpaca wool
- Measures approximately 130 x 70mm outside & 50 x 40mm inside
- These birds took about 2 weeks to build this nest. All 3 eggs that were laid hatched. It was only 2 weeks later that the little one's were old enough to leave the nest. They are now adults and have just built a nest of their own containing 3 eggs!

My plea for hits
All right, this is my shameless plea to see how many hits I can get on my Art 2's monthly theme week auction. This month's theme is numbers. The rule to our theme week listing is the starting price is only $4.99 ... that's right sports fans, that's art on the cheap for only 5 bucks! So after browsing mine - feel free to put 'art squared theme week' in the eBay search box to see what others are offering.
So pass on the link to my auction and I'll be happy camper watching the hit counter rise. Thanks!!!
